Customer Review: Check for size, durability, and overall support
I love UA stuff and have a lot of it. Unfortunately, their lower body products are not up to the same quality their upper body products are. Part of that is that their shirts are so great, its hard to match. But with the leggings, there are a couple of issues you need to be aware of.
First, I think they run a half to a full size or so small. Someone with a 38 inch waist can wear the XXL, and that’s likely the only thing XXL they wear unless they have arms and shoulders like Ronnie Coleman.
Second, I question the durability of these. One pair I have is starting to get that “knotted fuzz” stuff (for lack of a better term) in a certain spot — indicating wear. Its sort of in an unusual place. I don’t think its going to affect the overall performance of the product, and it may be limited to one pair I own. I’d recommend washing in warm, but not hot, and on regular, instead of intense (or whatever your setting is), and they’ll get clean.
Finally, these tights give you a little support, but don’t expect tight compression, especially around the thighs. This product is designed to be worn under whatever shorts/pants you are wearing and wick the sweat away while providing some comfort and support. They do that well, but if you’ve got a muscle pull (like a groin issue I’ve had over the past couple of months), this product won’t provide the compression support you may be expecting.
Its still a good product and more 4.5 rather than 4 stars. I hate bringing it down, but it isn’t perfect.
